Happy and Healthy

Happy and healthy is such a common expression. Therefore, it would lead one to deduce that if you are healthy, you are happy.

There are many great tips for keeping healthy, and I am certainly no expert when it comes to that. However, if you take care of yourself and have a clean bill of health, you will be happy. Eat right, exercise regularly, and you will be healthy.

What if I am healthy, you ask? Well, everyone is healthy to a certain degree. But what makes one really happy is knowing that they did something to improve their health. Sure, that Big Mac seems like a really good idea right now, but wouldn’t you be a lot happier four hours from now after you picked the healthy sandwich and don’t feel tired and slow and don’t have to make frequent trips to the washroom? I think so.

Also, there is happiness in the satisfaction that you did some physical exercise. Take the torture of running for example. I absolutely hate the idea of running, being an asthmatic and not in the best physical shape, but after forcing myself to go for a twenty minute run for the past two months, I feel a lot better and find that after running, I feel a lot more energetic and it just creates the adrenalin I need to get through the day.

Getting the appropriate amount of sleep is important to the health of anyone, and if you have the right amount of sleep, you have enough to get through the day. A person who is more awake is usually a lot happier throughout the day, finds daily tasks to be less strenuous, and has a more positive attitude to take everything that comes their way. People perform better when they are well rested and they are able to do things that a tired person is not.

If you are a healthy person, you do not experience undue fatigue. If you feel good physically, you are bound to feel great emotionally. Fulfilling healthy goals is a great cause of happiness and feeling physically fit enough to carry out your day is one of the staples of happiness. Eat right. Exercise regularly. Sleep well. Be healthy. Be happy.
