Happy New Years!

When New Years comes around, take this time, just like all others, to be happy. But New Years is different. New Years allows you to examine all of the amazing and wonderful things, and all the not so amazing and not so wonderful things, that happened to you in the last year. Looking back you’ll see all the times and things you did where you were the happiest, and the times where you were most miserable. I encourage you to make resolutions to make the happy times happier and make the hard times shorter. When you take this time to examine the big picture, remember that there is a big picture, and evaluate the big picture and you will see the tone of your life. Is it happy?

I must offer you some advice that may seem impractical, but it is the only way to live. As this is my last blog, I will give you the true key to happiness. This is the key to happiness that I try to live by, that I try to see all the good by, that I try to create happy moments by, and that I make the most people as happy as I can by. All you need to do is this to be happy.

LIVE THE MOMENT IN THE MOMENT YOU WANT TO BE IN, AND SEEK NOTHING BUT THESE MOMENTS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

There you have it. So here’s to 2010! May it be even happier than 2009! Here’s to the rest of your life and I wish you only the happiest times. Remember, when all else fails, live by this one strict code. BE HAPPY.

Happy Christmas

God rest ye merry gentlemen let nothing you dismay! Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace! Joy to the world! Peace on earth! Yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! T’is the season to be jolly! I want to wish you a merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart! From now on our troubles will be out of sight! Have a holly jolly Christmas; it’s the best time of the year!

A wonderful site of Christmas cheer can be found here: http://www.41051.com/xmaslyrics/

These are just some of the lyrics that people sing along with and belt out over the Christmas season. And it is no wonder that people seem to be at their happiest during the Christmas season. People seem jollier, and no one dares to be a Scrooge. There are the many exchanges of “Merry Christmas” to and from even strangers we have never met before, and people are donating to the Salvation Army, and a general feeling of good cheer spreads like a disease. In today’s society, it is almost impossible to escape the Christmas spirit. Perhaps people feel they need an excuse to spread general good cheer, and Christmas is that excuse.

There is no end to all of those Christmas carol’s being played over the radio, and nowadays, it is possible that these are the only songs that seem to have good clean lyrics. In the air, there’s a feeling of Christmas. People are hustling and bustling to hit the shopping malls, not for themselves or to support consumerism, but to buy gifts for other people! Christmas is truly a wonderful season.

There is no need to mention, also, that in general people stop to consider the true meaning of Christmas, outside of the gifts and Santa Clause. More people than ever crowd into churches on Christmas Eve to sing “Silent Night” by candlelight. Christmas is the season that reminds us that there is such thing as compassion and happiness and good will in this world and for that everyone is all the happier. Christmas forces you to examine this world of disaster, crime, corruption and money and see that that’s not all there is to it. This world is a place where people can be decent to one in another in the name of something bigger that unites us all. Christmas even catches those who aren’t religious, and they celebrate alongside with their “winter holiday” with just as much good cheer.

You walk along and see everyone just a little happier on account of Christmas and it makes even the most miserable of us aware that such a thing as happiness exists. You scheme about what you’re going to get your loved ones for Christmas, to get that perfect gift, and your face lights up even more than theirs when they rip the wrapping paper off it on Christmas morning. All problems are set aside on Christmas, and everyone deserves to happy on Christmas.

So spread the Christmas cheer. Don’t let this season die away. Join in the happiness, and you will have a wonderful time. Be merry. Be joyful and triumphant. Be jolly. Be happy.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all a very merry, wonderful Christmas this year. I’m not just quoting lyrics when I say this:

PEACE ON EARTH GOOD WILL TO ALL!

Travel and Happiness

Sometimes you need more happiness than just simple everyday happiness. Even though it simple everyday happiness is valuable, sometimes people need something a little extra special, like those extra special times when you travel.

Travelling can be a very amazing experience where you will be very happy, and even afterwards, remembering your travels creates happiness. So, if you have never travelled, or it has been forever since you have been somewhere out of the ordinary, get away.

True, travelling can be expensive. However, you don’t have to go on an expensive trip to receive the value of trips that even millionaires take. One time I travelled all of forty minutes down the road and spent ten dollars a night on a campsite with some friends. We all had amazing time, despite rainy weather. The place we were was different than we were used to, and when it all comes down to it, a beach is a beach. You don’t need a thousand dollar plane ticket to experience a beach.

You also don’t have to travel for entirely touristic reasons either. The greatest trip I have gone on was to Belize to work with a dedicated group of people to make the lives of the people who lived there a little better. We camped in the jungle for a week in a bit, the rivers were our only source of cleanliness, and a shovel was used to create the “washroom”. Still, those nights after long day worth of work, sitting in the jungle and listening to the monkeys and looking up at more stars than I have ever seen in my life because there was no light pollution were breathtaking.

However, sometimes people could use a little time dedicated to just them, and travelling is just the thing to do that. So head down to the sunny south sometime, or go on a cruise. These things can take a while to save up for, but in the long run, they are amazing vacations. You can also learn a lot when you travel, and every place has some kind of history that you can learn. Travelling is a very fulfilling experience.

So get out that old tent and rent a campsite for a weekend. Or go on that dream vacation overseas. Or pile into the family van and see how long it takes you to get to Florida. Get out there and do a little travelling and it will make life a little happier than it already is. Be happy.

Here is a great website on how to take the stress out of travelling:

The Happiness that Matters Most

The happiest days of my life have been the product of spending quality time with family and friends. If you are seeking happiness, you should do the same.

Even just sitting down for dinner with your family can be the cause of great happiness. And those dreaded family occasions, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, can be amazingly fun if you go at them with the right attitude. Listen to your Aunts and Uncles bickering about the time they threw their pet duck off the roof to see if it could fly, or learn all of those things that your parents didn’t think you would ever learn about them, like the time your mother pierced her own ears with a tooth pick. Not to mention all the good food that your grandmother can cook. Your immediate family is also very important for happiness. Spending time with your parents and siblings is important and is the cause of happy moments. Be nerdy and bust out that dusty game of Monopoly and play it with your family and just spend good quality time connecting and catching up on things in your lives. There is nothing more important than family, so don’t waste the precious time you have with them by not spending time with them and letting trivial things get in the way of what’s most important. It doesn’t matter where you are in your family. Whether you are the university student who is spending less and less time with their family because they have to go away for school, or the younger kid who has to do homework and their chores, or the working parent of children, or the person who just moved out, or the grandparent who has experienced all of this, family is important, and you will be happier if you don’t take them for granted and spend those precious moments with your family in all your walks of life.

And then there are your friends. Every person has friends, but you should consider yourself very lucky if you have those seasoned friends that have stuck with you and will stick with you through the trials and tribulations of life. Just imagine sitting by a campfire with your friends talking the night away looking at the stars and not wanting to be anywhere else in the world. Just imagine having friends support you when something goes terribly wrong in your life. It is friends, and family, that make these times bearable. You can have an amazingly fun time with your friends, and they will make you very happy. Life will not be a happy experience if you go through it alone. You can do it all, but it will all have been miserable unless you have friends and family to share experiences with. Even those times where you get together with your friends and spend the majority of the evening figuring out what exactly you want to do are great.

Life is only happy if you go through it with someone to stand by you, and nobody will stand by you like your friends and family, so do everything you can with them. Spend as much time as you can with your friends and family, even the little things. You can’t do it alone. So make those great friends, don’t forget about your family, and be happy.

Ice Cold Happiness

So you hate the winter? You wince at the idea of stepping outside in that sub zero weather to face that snow blizzard. You hate shovelling that driveway, getting your silly rear wheel drive vehicle stuck in a six foot snow bank, and freezing in general. This is probably the case, as it is the case of most people. It seems that no one likes these specific aspects of winter. I, myself, the one telling you to be happy, am guilty of this. However! The winter is full of the most amazing opportunities for crazy happiness.

Through virtue of snow, winter is my favourite season. The world can be such a fun place if you freeze it all, and cover it in a blanket of white fluffy stuff. And that sounds ludicrous, but think about all of the wonderful things you can do in the winter that you just couldn’t do if it weren’t freezing cold. So, I have compiled for you all of the things that you can do that will make you happy this winter. But note, all of these activities are really only fun if you are properly equipped against the cold. So dress warmly. Here is a good website that provides wonderful tips for staying warm in the cold weather. http://www.instructables.com/id/How_to_dress_warm_in_the_COLD_Snow/

1. Skiing and Snowboarding! So, after you dressed so you will not feel the bitter cold of the frozen atmosphere that allows for this kind of fun, hop on the nearest ski lift and have a fun filled day of skiing or snowboarding. I have experienced many days of fun at the mercy of a ski hill, and it’s a great thing to do with friends. If you can’t ski or snowboard, well I envy you, because I had a great time learning. And if you are experienced and already know what I’m talking about, you would agree with me that you would find exceptional happiness at a ski hill. So give it a try. Strap on some skis and point them downhill and see what kind of happiness you can come up with.

2. Snowing Someone! As evil as it sounds, it is SO fun. Have you ever looked out at all that snow, and just bundled up and went outside to play in it? You will have such good times. As juvenile as it sounds, just go tackle someone into a snow bank. It will give you an instant rush, plus the rush you will get from trying to dodge the vengeful recipient of said tackle. Just have a big snow fight. Snow balls, competition, just get outside with some friends or siblings and have fun with the fluffy stuff. Or if you were really adventurous, try out a football game or a soccer game out in the snow. The snow adds an element that recreates the sport.

3. Skate! I can’t skate. I am horrible at it and spend more time on my knees then my skates. Although, surprisingly, I still find it to be a wonderful activity. Especially on outdoor skating rinks, where you just skate or crawl around in the gently falling snow. Skating is a great activity to do with friends, and you will have an amazing time if you call up your buddies and go out to the rink. Plus, you get the added fun of time with your friends and the odd hot chocolate brake. If you were really adventurous, start up a game of tag, which is always fun on the ice, or even hockey.

4. Frosty the Snowman! That’s right. Build a snowman. It is so fun creating the snowy giants and dressing them up with that corn cob pipe and buttoned nose. My brothers and I always have our annual snowman building contest which is always great. There was one time where we filled our whole front yard with 28.5 snowmen, the .5 one being a bit of a calamity of a snow fight. Or even better, build a snow fort. Constructing a house out of snow can be a blast, and you will have a great time.

5. All Ya Need is Speed! And last but not least, my absolute favourite part of the winter. The wonderful invention of a snowmobile has made many a winter a great one. There’s nothing I crave more than my thumb on the throttle of a purring sled with a wide open space in front of me, or a winding trail that will take me who knows where. I remember racing across the ice with a good friend of mine, seeing who was willing to push the envelope a little more. That was amazingly fun. And then there are the trails, where you can pick a different destination every time and spend the entire day exploring on those wonderful snow machines. You have not lived until you have gone for a ride on a snowmobile!

So there you have it. The perfect recipe to turn the chill of winter into the thrill of winter! This winter, try all of these things out, and you will be happier for it. Get out in the cold. Throw some snow. Take advantage of the frozen world. Be happy. For more amazing things to do with your winter, check out these tips:

Give a Little Happiness

Downright legitimate happiness can be found through a very easy channel. If you are an unhappy individual, I encourage you to give this simple thing a try. And when I say simple, I mean simple.

Here’s what you do. Go down to your local coffee shop. This being Canada, it’s probably a Tim Horton’s. When you buy your $1.25 coffee, get a second one. That is, if you are a coffee drinker. If not, improvise. When you grab said coffees, whenever you reach your destination, be it work or school, or any destination that involves even the most limited human interaction; give the other coffee away to someone who looks like they could use it. You will experience an immediate rush of happiness as you give someone something that they weren’t expecting for no apparent reason.

To put it simply, it all comes down to this. Making other people happy makes you happy. And making other people happy is a very easy thing to do. Giving is a wonderful way of doing this. Give someone something, something as easy to give as simple recognition, and you will be doing them a big happiness. When you walk down the halls you find yourself in, literally and figuratively, inquire to the passerby on how their day is going. Even giving a smile can go a long way. Happiness catches on like a wildfire, and if you take the small amount of time it takes to be friendly and pleasant, these simple actions will go far. And if this makes no sense to you and you are a generally shy person, I will help you get started. Next time you come upon a person, just try this simple four worded phrase to make someone’s day a little nicer:

“Hey! How are you?”

You will experience great happiness if you give someone something material also, like the aforementioned coffee, or something entirely different altogether. Drop some stuff off at your local food bank, or give some of your time to helping out people who could use a hand. Give to people in need, drop an extra couple dollars in the collection plate at church, and this will make you feel happy because you know that you are doing someone a favour who could really use it.

Just the simple generousness of time and possessions and gifts can make you, and the person you give it to, very happy. So be generous, be nice, give a smile, ask how someone is, and be giving. Be happy.

Happy and Healthy

Happy and healthy is such a common expression. Therefore, it would lead one to deduce that if you are healthy, you are happy.

There are many great tips for keeping healthy, and I am certainly no expert when it comes to that. However, if you take care of yourself and have a clean bill of health, you will be happy. Eat right, exercise regularly, and you will be healthy.

What if I am healthy, you ask? Well, everyone is healthy to a certain degree. But what makes one really happy is knowing that they did something to improve their health. Sure, that Big Mac seems like a really good idea right now, but wouldn’t you be a lot happier four hours from now after you picked the healthy sandwich and don’t feel tired and slow and don’t have to make frequent trips to the washroom? I think so.

Also, there is happiness in the satisfaction that you did some physical exercise. Take the torture of running for example. I absolutely hate the idea of running, being an asthmatic and not in the best physical shape, but after forcing myself to go for a twenty minute run for the past two months, I feel a lot better and find that after running, I feel a lot more energetic and it just creates the adrenalin I need to get through the day.

Getting the appropriate amount of sleep is important to the health of anyone, and if you have the right amount of sleep, you have enough to get through the day. A person who is more awake is usually a lot happier throughout the day, finds daily tasks to be less strenuous, and has a more positive attitude to take everything that comes their way. People perform better when they are well rested and they are able to do things that a tired person is not.

If you are a healthy person, you do not experience undue fatigue. If you feel good physically, you are bound to feel great emotionally. Fulfilling healthy goals is a great cause of happiness and feeling physically fit enough to carry out your day is one of the staples of happiness. Eat right. Exercise regularly. Sleep well. Be healthy. Be happy.

The Sweet Melody of Happiness

Well you can’t roller skate in a buffalo herd, you can’t roller skate in a buffalo herd, you can’t roller skate in a buffalo herd, but you can be happy if you’ve a mind to. You can’t take a shower in a parakeet cage, you can’t take a shower in a parakeet cage, you can’t take a shower in a parakeet cage, but you can be happy if you’ve a mind to. All you gotta do is put your mind to it, knuckle down, buckle down and do it, do it, do it.” (Roger Miller)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI-8hst0bho

That is one of the funniest songs I have ever heard. Have a listen, and you’ll be amused, and somewhat happier than you were before you heard it. I guess the point I’m trying to make here is the power music has over one’s emotions. Music has the amazing ability to make someone happy. If you’re day is a bit of a drag, play some music. Pretty soon, you’ll be singing along to every song on the radio, even the ones you don’t know. Listening to music can brighten up anyone’s day. Just turn on the tunes and a positive attitude and see how your day ends up.

There have been many instances where I have had a somewhat mediocre day, or someone has said something to bring me down, where I have needed a pick me up. I’d be driving along, so I’d put in a CD and pretty soon my mood will have lightened and I’ll be bopping along to the music, oblivious to the past events of the day that made me feel down. Pretty soon I’ll be the crazy person at the stop light singing her heart out into a pop can, laughing all the way home.

Music also has the ability to make events and groups of people happier. I remember just blaring some music with some friends and pretty soon the occasion turns into an all out dance party where we show off our daring dance moves that would make any trained dancer cry, or even an untrained dancer for that matter. Sometimes you just have to take the time to let loose and have a genuinely good time listening to music.
Music can also brighten up any task that is not generally viewed as a happy one. When you’re mopping the floor, crank up those tunes, and pretty soon you’ll be angry because you’re finished and you have no more reason to dance with your mop. Or if you’re doing an extremely bland homework assignment, put on your favourite band and it will be a happier task.

Even the messages in music can make one happier, just because it reveals small truths and situations so that you now know what everyone is going through. They can give empowering messages, stimulate laughter, or just tell you that life is good. They can tell you things that make the bad things better. Here are some examples of songs that will make your day a little happier. Have a listen. See what you think. Be happy.

Crazy Spontaneity and the Happiness Therein

Have an open mind. Try new things and be up for doing just about anything. The happiest moments in my life have not been planned in any way, and have been crazy adventures. Even if someone suggests to you what seems to be one of the stupidest things you have ever heard of, give it a try, unless, of course, they suggest the use of drugs or jumping off a cliff or other such things. I’m not saying that’s okay. If you do, don’t blame me. Be reasonable, and don’t not do something unless you have a REALLY good reason. If someone walked up to you right now and asked you if you wanted to find an old beat up car, take everything out of it except the driver’s seat and engine, and race it around a dirt track a hundred times two days from now, surprisingly, the general answer to that question is no. The rational part of the brain would point out these few things:

a) You don’t know where to find a car.
b) You don’t know how to strip a car.
c) How could you figure this out in two days?
d) Who would want to do something like that anyways?
e) Is it really worth all that effort?
f) Is this like some redneck pastime?
g) What would my mother think?
h) What the heck has this guy been smoking?

However! The irrational and somewhat happier part of your brain, if you are at all trained in the ways of spontaneity, would only draw up one point.

a) Heck yeah! It’s not crazy enough to be dangerous (like jumping off a bridge) but crazy enough to be fun!

And so there I was. A slave to an irrational brain. Sitting behind the wheel of an old beat up Cavalier waiting for the green flag to drop to race around this dirt track with a hundred other cars. I was also the happiest kid in the world at that very moment.

So, the moral of the story is this. Live a little on the edge and do things that an unhappier you would never dream of doing. Don’t take things for granted and classify things or judge things before you experience them. Lots of happy experiences will come your way in your life, but most of them are hidden and or don’t seem like a good idea at the time. Believe me, next time someone comes up to you with a crazy proposal, or you see an advertisement on a billboard for sky diving, don’t ask yourself why, ask yourself why not. If you can’t answer that question, well then, it’s something you should be doing. Be a little reckless. Be a little daring. Don’t live inside a tiny little box and expect things to come your way. Be happy.

Just Whistle While You Work. It's a Happy Experience.

I have never been happier than when I am at school and work. Well, actually, I have done happier things, but there is no denying that work and school can and should be happy experiences. If you were to consider it, you spend a good portion of your time working and learning, so if you hate your job and your school, you will be a generally unhappy person who lives for just weekends.

There are many ways to be extremely happy at school. School should be one of the happiest times of your life! Sure, there is some work involved, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If you enjoy school, you will do better in school, and there is a great degree of happiness in success. Try to envision school as a sort of game. Set goals for yourself and try to reach them, and happiness will occur when you reach your goals. Try to do as much homework as you can with friends. This makes the dull boring hours of homework a generally happy occasion where you get some work done and hang out with your friends. Many hands make light work, right? Doing assignments with people is a stimulus to get them done well and on time. I remember once doing a group project with one of my best friends where we had to make a joint. (I know what you’re thinking. What kind of school did I go to? You would be relieved to know that it was an elbow joint for anatomy class.) We had a great time overcoming the challenges we faced, figuring out how to do it, finally making it, and then rewarding ourselves with a $5 pizza from Little Caesars. The best part was when we got 91% on our joint. Listen to the teacher, become involved in class, get your work done on time, hang out with your friends, stay organized, and school will be a blast! Take my word for it. If this method doesn’t work, or if it does work, post a comment! Or, if you don’t take my word for it, read further on it by following this link: http://www.wikihow.com/Like-School.

Work can be stressful. Work can be boring. Work can be a drag. You hate your boss. You dread going to work. You'd love to strangle your coworkers. If you said yes to any of the above criteria, GET A BETTER JOB! Why would you willingly put yourself through a miserable life at your job when working has the potential to be a happy experience? There are tons of employment opportunities out there, and if you are happier digging ditches than working in a cubicle to make a little more money, dig those ditches! People who love their jobs are generally happier. Monetary gain should be no substitute for happiness. However, if your job doesn’t fit the previously listed criteria and yet you are still unhappy at your job, you should examine what it is about your job that makes you unhappy. Go to work with a positive attitude. Always have a smile on your face and deal with confrontation from an optimistic perspective. Believe me; happiness catches on like a disease. If people see that you are enjoying yourself, they may take up your example. Be optimistic, have fun with your co workers and treat every day and challenge as an adventure. It is amazing how much your happiness depends on your attitude. If you go to work thinking you’re going to have an awful day, I promise you, you’re going to have an awful day. Have fun, work hard and be happy.

A Splash of Happiness

Some of the most memorable and, of course, happiest days of my life have been the product of water. Yes, that’s right, water. If you want to have a really good time, find some water and do something with it. Believe me, while it is beautiful scenery, a lake isn’t just there to look at.

A lake is a wonderful source of entertainment and legitimate happiness. True happiness isn’t usually found on the couch watching people do wonderful things on the TV, or reading about all of the crazy adventures people have in books or magazines. It is true; these things can stimulate happiness, but what degree of happiness? The answer to this question is simple. Grab some friends or the family and go find a lake.

Now, what can you do with this lake? I have spent hours upon hours happily dwindling away my spare moments at lakes, and I cannot think of better usage of this time.

It is true that a lake is more of a summer endeavour. Here is a bit of a detailed list of all of the wonderful things you can come by at a lake:

1. Swim! This is so very simple. If you can’t swim, grab a life jacket and learn. You will be one very happy swimmer if you just hop in the lake and see what kind of trouble you can come up with. Grab a football and start up a game, or try out playing volley ball in the shallower areas. Or, a personal favourite, start up a game of British Bulldog and see who comes out the winner. To an inexperienced reader, some of this may seem juvenile and so simple it’s boring, but don’t judge until you give it a try.

2. I’m on a Boat! Well, you get the idea. If you don’t have access to a boat, go rent a canoe for $20 and just take off down the lake. My brother and I did this a couple years ago. Minus the fact that we ended up in the airfield of the Toronto harbour being pulled over by police boats, this was a very happy experience. Another time, we rented sea doos for the day and chased the dolphins in Florida, which still makes me smile in thinking about it. Again, if you have never tried it, try it. If it isn’t a happy experience and you didn’t have fun, post an angry comment, however, I don’t think that will be the case.

3. Catch a Wave! Or even better, avoid a wave. Try out your hand at water sports. Believe me, being the terrified occupant of a tube being is actually very fun, and you will experience happiness. Or strap on the old water skis and try to do something impressive. Whatever your things is, be it wake boarding, knee boarding, surfing, do it. It’ll make you happy. Or, if you haven’t tried any of these things, try it. You’ll have a great time.

4. That One’s a Whopper! While I am a strong believer that there is not a single fish in Georgian Bay (which is the lake where I cast my line), I have spent many a wonderful day trying to catch one. While my biggest prize was a crazed seagull, which is by no way a fish of any type, I remember many a happy day fishing off the rocks with my brothers. I know of many avid fishermen who are their happiest on the lake trying to catch the “big one”, so if you are a fisher, go fishing. If you aren’t, well, try it some time.

Get out there in the sunshine, splashing around with some buddies. Have a good time. Get wet. Be happy.

If you aren’t completely satisfied with my advice and need a more “how to” spin on spending a day at a lake, click on the below website for a short recipe for happiness.

Searching For Happiness

Have you ever had just one of those days? One of those days where all you can see are the many exams or hours of work looming in the near future? One of those days where your truck gets stolen, your boss fires you, your house floods and your best friend’s cat dies while you were watching it because she was away on vacation? It is on one of these days where you would deny that such a thing as happiness exists, and many people wouldn’t blame you.

Don’t worry, there is hope, and it’s simple. After experiencing a day much like the one described above, I was miserable. It seemed that there was nothing that could make that day any better, or any worse, for that matter. However, while walking home to endure mounds of homework, I remember looking at the sky and seeing the most gorgeous sunset in the sky. This stimulated me to examine all of my surroundings. The air was warm, the smell of summer still lingered in the air, and the lake glittered and accentuated the wonderful sunset. Looking around and examining all of that natural beauty, it made me think that no matter what happens in life, this is something I could always count on. I took the long way home that day, and by the time I arrived at home to tell my woeful tale, I was able to tell it with a comical spin and being reduced to tears of laughter as opposed to misery when reflecting on my day.

No matter what trials you face, and if it seems that there is nothing going right, just go for a walk and unwind. Make yourself notice all of the beautiful things in life and this will help you realize that your life is beautiful and valuable as well. How could one deny that watching a thunderstorm electrify the night sky, a gust of wind take the many coloured leaves off the trees, a summer rain refresh the heated landscape, a beautiful sunny day, slowly falling snow, or all the beautiful sunsets, can stimulate happiness? When all you see is desperation and you face the biggest trials in life, take a moment to examine all of the beautiful things in life. Realize that sure, life can be a trial at times, but there is always beauty and happiness if you take a moment to look for it. So look around. Be happy.
